with myspace.com
August 27th 2007, Atlanta, GA – TradeInMySpace.com, a recently launched, free, online
listing service for college students changes its name to TradeInMyZone.com to avoid any
misunderstandings and potential conflicts with myspace.com.
“After careful consideration we decided to err on the safe side” said Naim Sula, CEO of TradeInMyZone.com.
“While we do not believe that the name TradeInMySpace.com violates any trademarks we realize that there is
a potential for misunderstanding and hence it is better to change the name now than change it later.”
TradeInMyZone.com is a free listing service that allows students to:
- Buy, sell or trade text books, music, movies, electronics, furniture etc;
- Announce meetings, parties and other events;
- Look for and/or offer services;
- Find a roommate or a place to rent and more.
The service is restricted to students who have an email address assigned by the school they are attending.
The restricted access makes it possible to keep the lists free of spam while also making the trading between
participants safer and more efficient.
The service is currently available to US College students only. It is scheduled to be available to Canadian
college students on September 1, 2007 whereas the availability for other countries has not been scheduled yet.
